Ben Braakman in Turkmenistan for Agricultural Project
At the end of August, our colleague Ben Braakman visited Turkmenistan to support a project focused on sustainable agriculture and rural development.
As an international animal feed expert, Ben was invited to deliver a two-day workshop for 28 members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan on proper nutrition for dairy cows.
Together with several other experts, Ben visited a number of dairy farms across the country, engaging in in-depth discussions with local farmers about feed management, nutritional needs, and ways to increase milk production.
“Good feed management is essential for efficient milk production. To improve productivity, dairy cows must be fed the right types and amounts of feed at the right time,” said Ben Braakman.
At the end of the training sessions, the farmers expressed their appreciation for the valuable knowledge and insights they had gained.
