Training Visit from Ghana

Earlier this month, a group of dairy professionals from Ghana visited the Netherlands for the training program “Management and Nutrition of Dairy Cows”, organized by Nutrivice Consultancy B.V.

During the week-long program, participants deepened their knowledge of cow nutrition, (tropical) fodder crops, and herd management. The training combined theory with extensive on-farm learning, including visits to several Dutch dairy farms such as Bles van Benthem Farm, where participants gained hands-on experience in modern milking parlours and learned about efficient feeding and management systems.

The course provided valuable insights into advanced nutrition strategies to improve milk yield and quality, enhance herd health, and reduce veterinary costs through preventive management and optimized feeding practices.

The week concluded with a certificate ceremony and a cultural exchange, during which the trainers were honored with traditional Ghanaian shirts as a token of appreciation — a memorable gesture reflecting the warm connection between participants and trainers.

A big thank you to trainers Ben Braakman, Corné Kroon, and Allard Levers for sharing their expertise and enthusiasm throughout the program.

We look forward to welcoming the next group of passionate dairy professionals in June!

Ruminant Nutrition advice by Nutrivice Consultancy

Many consultants can tell you what could be improved on your dairy farm. Far fewer can propose the right measures and actually implement them.
The consultants at Nutrivice Consultancy specialize in both identifying and implementing the correct solutions.

We design rations for all groups of dairy cattle on your farm. It doesn’t matter whether you work with TMR, PMR, concentrate feeders, milking robots, or individual ingredients. We use the latest scientific nutritional standards. As an independent nutrition consultancy, we do not produce feed ourselves and are not tied to any specific feed manufacturers. This allows us to remain completely independent and tailor our advice to what works best for your farm, regardless of where you source your feed.
